This course is designed for what I’d call advanced beginners and up. You don’t need to be a pro by any means, but it’s not meant for someone who’s never touched a DAW before. If you’ve opened up something like GarageBand, Logic, FL Studio, or Ableton, and you’ve tried making a beat or recording vocals, even just a few times, you’re good to go.

The course is packed with straightforward, practical tips that are easy to understand, but many of them are powerful enough that even seasoned producers have found value in them. (I’ve had people with 20+ years of experience tell me they learned a ton.) So whether you’re still getting confident or have been at it for a while, there’s something in here for you.

This course is taught in Ableton, but I intentionally designed it to be as DAW-less as possible. I don’t use any Ableton stock plugins or focus on features that are specific to Ableton. Instead, the techniques I teach can be applied in any DAW. When I do use plugins, they’re always third-party options, so no matter what you’re using, you’ll be able to follow along and apply what you learn.

This course doesn’t focus on any one genre: I teach genre-less techniques that you can apply to whatever style you work in. I’ve had students use what they learned in everything from pop to indie rock, country, hip-hop, and beyond. The concepts are universal and built to help you make better music, no matter what your sound is.
